Default Steve McCadams Report Ky Lake

This must be a proxy report 'cause no one I spoke to was catching fish this past Thurs and Friday. Big Sandy was swamped by bait fish. The river did rise and fall and we did deal with a rapid drop in temp. That part he got right in his report.

    Kentucky Lake Fishing Report

What we mostly saw on sonar was gobs of bait fish.

This is a slide show, so let it auto stp thru the pics. Click the box.

We went out on Friday from 11:00am till about 3:30 and had 11 keepers and a few short fish. Most in 12 FOW but a couple as deep as 20 FOW. All were between Port Rd ramp and the power lines.
Had a neighbor go out at dawn and he said he had 20 in about 3 hours.

Fish were being caught up around Eagle Creek. Got that report from crappie24. Eagle Creek is too far for me to run with a small boat.

Eagle Creek would be a long way from home if the wind got bad. I seen the pictures Crappie24 posted on the Illinois forum. Looked like he was really on them.

Cool pics Tom. Set up a Johnson's silver minnow on a different rod with a swivel and when the bait is thick like that, drop it down and start snapping it up and following it down. Whatever is feeding in that bait is likely to hit it. Good fun. 1/4oz works fine and only one hook, and others will work if'n you don't have a Johnson's.
