    Default Limestone Bay 12-05

fished limestone creek today and caught 30+ bass and 8 large crappie with 3 nice gills to boot. white marabou jig 18 inches under a cork fished around some stumps along the creek channel. also lost several very large crappie for some reason. first time Ive used beetlebou jigs, maybe I should find a better hook......

I did decide to try marabou jigs because they work for you so many times. the water was 4-5 ft in a place you know well but the crappie were on the outer channel ledge instead of around the tree/deep bank. saw lots of huge bass chasing shad straight through the hole all day and the crappie seemed to bite right after a pass.

riverboss, Yep I know the hole your talking about. I've seen the same set up also where the Bass scatter the school of shad and the Crappie start picking at the edges. That hole almost always holds just Black Crappie also. I've anchored there and drifted jigs in the current more times than I can count. I'm glad some one else found it, LOL!
