Here's a seven color tube bait made using a Do-It mold with a spline that makes the filaments without the need to cut them. The mold makes a super nice tube without a lot of messing around. Well, if you make a simple tube that is.
The spline that makes the filaments has 18 grooves that fill. I did three grooves of six different color and then shot the tube body in the blue. Old eyes and fat fingers made for an interesting 35-40 minutes. Doing this in daylight would be a super benefit. Challenging is the best way to describe this puppy.
I have a grand-daughter that thinks this plastic stuff is pretty good stuff. I shot a "frog" family using a 4" frog, a three inch frog [Mama, as I found out its called], and three 1 1/2" baby sized frogs. She mad a house out of an ice cream pail for them. Hard telling what this thing will become. I have some 4" lizards this time around too so she'll be a busy kid on Christmas Eve. lol

Yep. Even you wouldn't want to see the cost of a ten cavity even at 2.5". The spline portion of this mold is a 40 dollar bill and the mold body is another 50. Just the splines would be a 400.00 ticket on a ten cavity.
You just have to play don't ya!!!!!!!LOL Nice looking bait, be fun to see what the fish think.

ctom You don't have to have the fancy cams made with the grooves for the tail you need to cut the grooves directly into the mold and place a street rod this way you will have a precut plastic bait in the mold I am no fancy at drawing up something like this I do not have the skills but if I did I would absolutely design and send it to a mold maker to have it made I know it will work . and why the mold makers are not doing this I haven't got a clue they take the most expensive way to do things sometimes.

Time in the machine Bob. Lots of passes to get that. Man, a ten cavity would be a chunk of change.
