Thread: Right bait wrong place

Just HOW DO the same guys always have a pic of big fish they catch seemingly at will? Every time you go to a site there is that same guy with ANOTHER big mess of fish?? Is he special? Does he have a secret bait? How does he ALWAYS do it?
First off ya need to realize that guy likely has put in MANY MANY hours on the water. Most of those hours unproductive. Rain, snow, hot, cold he is out there, lots of days he sees the sun rise and set from his boat. He understands what to do in most every situation, drawing upon those thousands of hours. He knows his equipment much more intimately than the average guy. When he is not fishing he is thinking about it, constantly tweaking his gear. When this gentleman catches a fish or finds a school he understands (usually immediately) how to manipulate that school. What color bait he needs. Most would only catch one or two but he will catch sometimes a limit off that one spot. A wiseman once told me "you can throw the right bait in the wrong place all day and never catch anything but you can throw the wrong bait in the right place and catch a few" that older gentleman was right... Finding them is the most important key to the puzzle.
This superior fisherman has every color bait made but has settled on just a few go to colors that he knows "if any are here They will eat it" once fish are found, Then he uses color to adjust and mine every one of he can. So, next time you go onto a site and THERE HE IS AGAIN smiling with ANOTHER big mess of fish realize he is not just lucky.... HE EARNED IT!
