    Default Canyon yielding crappie again

With the water clearing after the recent rainfall, the bigger crappie are being caught on Canyon Lake up the Guadalupe River.

Nice catch... Is the water clear like the river? I've floated the river but have never fished it. I don't see how guys catch fish in the Guadalupe... They must use 6lb flouro and match the hatch perfectly.
You think I like to duck hunt? I love to crappie fish!

Have some time to expand...The crappie were caught up the Guadalupe on Canyon Lake in 26' suspended over treetops at 6' - 8'. The were caught on minnows under slip bobbers using red Matzuo #2 sick hooks and Matzuo sickle hook jigs tipped with bright Slab Bandit plastics on 10# HiVis Izorline copolymer. I use 8' to 12' Pro Angler Tackle rods. The water temp is high 50's and clearing.
