    Hey TGTE,

I caught this reel in Lake Pontchartrain few years back. You can see the erosion of the aluminum body in the pics. I think I threw the rod away.

My youngest daughter hooked and brought up a Lew's bait caster in Bayou Sorrel over 20 years ago. She pulled it up and reeled the line in and a half dead bass was on a crawfish colored bandit tie on. She use to ask about her rod and reel from time to time. I'll have to ask her if she remembers it.

Caught an owl once on topwater bait fishing a night bass tournament on Black River Lake near Jonesville, La. under lights at a dock. Try to get the treble hooks out of those claws without getting bit or clawed. Caught a Mallard duck on the first National Fishing and Hunting Day while in the military on Lake Washington in Seattle in mid flight. Also caught a bullfrog on Rodemacher Lake (Cleco Lake) near Boyce,La. while fishing a bass tournament. I told them it was over 12" long but they said you ain't weighing that in! ~~<{{{{<<

Back then it seemed so easy to catch now it's hard just to catch a break!!! I think the fish are like me and having more trouble seeing! Maybe I need larger lures and brighter colors??? ~~<*{{{{<<

Lots of weird things. When you spend as much time on water as some do you see it all
2 or 3 years ago I caught a shimano Calcutta and ugly stick on a crank bait near duck lake in spillway

As for others I caught a bullfrog on a plastic frog. And my dad who fly fished constantly caught many creatures on flys-popping bugs. Including. Couple frogs , birds, and a snake. Which we decided to give the bait too

I was throwing a crankbait in Henderson last year, felt a bite and set the hook. I didn't feel a fish, but the crank wasn't running right, finished reeling it in, and there was an XPS crankbait hanging from my treble hooks. It was chrome/black, just like the one I'd been throwing, what are the chances?

Caught this fishing bundicks in 2012. Whoever lost it had did some ole fashion rigging on it and had the butt end weighted down with some shot from shotgun shells, made it very balanced. Still like this rod!
