Ranger. What do you think #1 or #2 hooks? Could you break it down for us? Like what do you like with a 1/16 oz jig, 1/8oz, 1/4 oz? Thanks- trying to get ready to rumble.

    I use:

    • Size 2 for 1/16 - 1/8 oz.
    • Size 1 for 1/8 - 1/4 oz.

2 for 1/16 ( wish my mold would hold the #1)

    1 for 1/8
    1/0 for 1/4

What mold you have that won't hold a size 1 in a 1/16 oz?

Both my Jacobs standard 1/16 oz and Do-it weedless can do a size 1 hook.

My Do-It will work well with a 1 on a 1/16 but it's modified. I usually use a 2 due to winter time and smaller baits. It's a good all around hook size.
    1/16- 1 or 2 usually a 2
    1/8- 2 or 1
    3/16- 1/0
    1/4- 1/0 or 2/0
    5/16- 2/0
I had my 1/16 progressive mold milled out where the point sits to make it hold a 1 hook.
    Just how I do it......Ranger

It seems we lost that color question a while back.

Same with color of head, eyes or color of hook it all boils down to whatever gives the person fishing the most confidence.
