Default Finally got to check the motor out today

Put new plugs in it, then did a spark test and a conpression test. All had spark and the compression test was around 115-120. All were the same so atleast I know now that it's good to go. Just need to go out it in the water and see how she runs. If it's still running bad, it's either the fuel lines or the carbs.

Good deal......if you think its carbs after you run it.....you can probably get by with spraying them down with Deep Creep let sit over night then spray them down again and mix Sea Foam with gas and go run the snot out of it

That's what I was thinking but there's a cover to them I have to figure out where it is to get to the throats.

Hmmmmm......none of the two stroke out boards that I have owned and worked on have not had any covers on the carbs....I just open the butterflys and spray them.

DD, if its like mine it will have 4 or 6 3/8" bolts on the front of the cover that hold it on. Take them out and you will have full access to the carbs. Mine has 2 different lengths so pay a little attention to where they go. Once you get her running go fishing some, that will help, worse thing in the world for a 2 stroke is to set up!!!

I have the cover like that on my carb as well. Like was mentioned, pay attention to bolt length, it'll help.
