Now dang it OB, you know we don't trust those fellers down south of the Red River. Remember you're still in rehab from the years you spent there so your judgement may be a little impaired. Get well soon buddy!

To me colors are important thats why most crappie fishermen have thousands of plastics in hundreds of color combinations every time they're on the water so whats the harm in adding another way to add contrast and color to your bait.Like all of us i started with plain lead heads and caught my share but now that i'm accustomed to using colored heads i fish with more confidence when i have one on.

What ever catches crappie, use it. Painted Unpainted scented unscented crank bait, plastic or live bait. The objective is to fill the live well/basket by any legal means you can as fast as you can before the lights tho out! On any given day finicky crappie will be caught or not. Building memories and relationships is the most important thing of all!

Frank - That was well said. Whatever blows your skirt then use it. The important part is memories and relationships, one trip at a time.

DG, I can't argue with your diagnosis and I was definitely infected during my 20+ years of exposure. I'm thinking what I need
is crappie therapy every day until the symptoms disappear for good! I definitely need help. Anyone know where I can find a good
therapist? Or maybe where to go for therapy?

Last night I took some "hard as nails" and painted my heads to seal the lead and see if that will keep them nice and shiny. Can't hurt.

Especially the building memories and relationships part. The sons, grandkids, and I built a lot of memories this weekend and still kept the women happy with feasts, bowling, swimming, and games. Last night's crappie fry and some ginger-steamed crappie topped it off.

Same answer for so many questions- Ranger on Eufaula or any other body of water with crappie in it. By now I bet you have learned to self medicate on Texoma pretty effectively. I sure agree with your treatment plan- you sound better already!
