Nice haul. Lead core? With Norman producing you can stay away from my wateree rockfish!

Nice catch. How do the hybrids taste compared to regular rocks? Do they have that strong white bass taste?

pulling umbrella rigs and sassy shad.

Leadcore is weighted line that you let out behind the boat and troll with the outboard. for every color you set up, the bait runs approx 4 ft, so if i were to set out "4 colors", id be trolling baits in about the 16+/- ft range.

Thanks, I tried pulling umbrella rigs but never caught anything with it maybe its just my kind of luck. I heard that its not good to troll with the outboard is that true?

    Yes and No
when i bought my boat, i knew in advanced i was going to be using the big motor for trolling, so i stuck with the 4 stroke. you will do just fine trolling with the big motor

the OLDER 2 stroke motors tend to build up carbon while trolling at a low RPM and eventually cutting out on you unless you occasionally rode around. my last boat had a 2001 mercury 2 stroke and it trolled fine, i adjusted the carb screw and idled at a higher RPM and never did have any problems.

if you can get that umbrella rig down a bit deeper, i am sure you would mop up on some fish!
