Thread: Updated info on Jordan from Jessica Baumann, NC Wildlife Biologist

Got an email from Jessica this morning and wanted to pass along the information. I had sent her an email letting her know things were looking good on Jordan from the catches we have been getting lately. She is getting ready to take maternity leave, so not sure if we will meet with her next Spring or not. Here's what she had to say:

"Thanks so much for the update!! I love hearing that you guys are enjoying the crappie fishing out at Jordan again and fingers crossed that it just continues to get better and better. We completed our Black Crappie survey at the end of October and we are seeing similar patterns…a lot more 9-11 inch fish than seen in previous surveys and all size classes were in great body condition. When it comes to the spring meeting this year, I wanted to let you know that I’ll be out on maternity leave the first part of the year. I’m hoping to be back to work by April so a May meeting shouldn’t be a problem, but I wanted to give you a heads up in case you were having trouble getting a hold of me. If something happens and I can’t make the meeting, then I’ll still put together a handout for you guys!"
