    Default problem solvers needed

I have another problem. I bought some floats for my crappie poles when it is windy and I am spider rigging. Here's the problem. The floats are slip bobbers and I need a way to make them clip ons. Any and all solutions will be appreciated.

Why would you not want them to slip if spider rigging? Seems it would be awful cumbersome with a float clipped on your line.

I'm with the majority here good slip bobber and bobber stop are hard to beat. But if you really wanna fix the bobber, use a toothpick. Stick it in between the line and hole in the bobber.

in extreme windy conditions when your getting allot of rod bounce you can put more line and use bobbers and your bait is then floating and not bouncing up and down, so u do need bobbers that are attached to the line

Greg, I disagree. I have a set of poles rigged up with slip floats just for rough water. I use the little rubber stops, a bead a float and another bead then tied to a Duolock snap that I attach my rigs with. I set the depth with the rubber stop, then put out rig. Then I just give each pole enough slack that it dosnt pull line up through float. To each his own but seems if fishing any depth at all with a clip on float would be awkward.

But......with all that said, the suggestion of using the toothpick is a pretty simple solution it would seem. Usuns on here is so smart.

Years ago most trollers (what we called spider riggers back in the day) used bobbers or as some say corks.
