Default Got my own Masterbuilt on the way to the house

I was watching TV last night and since nothing was on, I was flipping channels. I've been looking for a fryer for awhile now that was big enough but really couldn't find one. Welp, Seems QVC had one last night that I couldn't turn down. I know Masterbuilt puts out a quality product and they had a Turkey fryer on there last night. It'll cook up to a 22 pound bird, 5 pounds of chicken wings, or you can do a low country boil it it. It's always a pain to drain off the oil from a fryer but this one has a drain spout which makes that easy. Just drain through a strainer straight into a jug. I did the 5 easy payments of about 35 or so a month for 5 months. Not bad at all.

Can people really be this stewpit? I was looking at the reviews on it and Several folks had the same complaint. get this. The cords to short. REALLY. Can we say Extension cord? LOL It got 4.2 out of 5 stars on 83 reviews. Several of them said they were only giving it 4 because of the cord.

Short cord is probably a safety feature. Both my electric fryers have a removable cord that is held to the fryer by magnets. If somebody were to trip over the cord it would just fall off rather than pull the fryer over and dump hot oil on whoever tripped over the cord.
    I got 350 heads on a 305 engine.
I get 6 miles to the gallon.
I aint got no good intentions.

that is a nice unit for sure !!!
reason for the short cord is for SAFETY , meaning the unit should be plugged into a electrical outlet that way nobody can get entangled in the electrical cord pulling the unit off the counter causing injuries from hot oil !!! if you do use a extension cord please route for safety so it cannot be tripped on or pull the unit off a table or counter !!!!

A word about extension cords. My fryer was acting crazy when I used an household extension cord. Discovered that I had to use at least a 12/3 cord. Unit couldn't get enough juice on anything less. Made one about 2 feet long to reach the wall outlet.
That's a good looking unit, Don.
