    Default Terrova Ipilot 80

I have decided I am going to buy a Terrova 80 Ipliot trolling motor for my Ranger or on a new boat that I am considering buying. But I have a question. I have a Lowrance Touch HDS on the bow of my Ranger boat with a HDS transducer mounted on the bottom of my current Minn Kota Maxxum trolling motor. All I read says that the Terrova Ipilot has a transducer built in to it and it works with Hummingbird depth finders. So how does people with Lowrance use a Terrova on their boat? Do you just attach your Lowrance transducer to the bottom of the Terrova even though it already has a built-in transducer? Any ideas?

Also, where is the best place to buy a Terrova Ipilot? They are expensive so I want to get the best deal if possible. Thanks

We have a Lowrance on our Terrova. The Terrova's transducer is a universal sonar. All you need is the correct pigtail cable to go from whatever brand depthfinder you want and the terrova. Now if you are wanting the Terrova with the ipilot link, I believe that this is only available with a Humminbird head unit.
You should ask this question on the fishing electronics sub forum to get more responses.
    Good Luck

To be honest with you the I Link is only 150 bucks more, the difference in remote is worth it before you even think about hooking it to a depth finder.

As I understand it, the transducer will work with any ds unit but will not work with down imaging. I just bought an I pilot terrova(non link) about a month ago and hooked it up to a HB 597ciHD. If I were going to be using down imaging up front I would see about getting it without the transducer and just put one on. I dealt with BBG and saved some but the best part is his know how.

I take that back, the best thing about dealing with BBG is when you call Brian.........you actually talk to Brian. You will need adapters, so tell him what you're planning and he will walk you through it.
You will love the I pilot.
