Launched out of the port Friday. Water was as low as I have seen it, muddy, 63 degrees. Spider rigged shiners and caught at least 100 fish. Sadly most were tiny crappie and bar fish. Managed to keep 25 decent ones with 4 being the type fish I was hoping for. Needs to be colder for sure. Still, not bad outing for first trip of the year. Caught nothing shallow, best bite in 14 fow. Here is my buddy with 2 of the better ones.
Good luck and be safe,
drjay

Theres those big whites...went looking for those Sunday out of the Port...Couldn't keep the dang barfish off our hook long enough to even let it sink...when we did manage to get a few down we struck out. Caught a couple blacks over 2 lbs off brushpiles in 8-9 ft. 16 more decent ones in the 1-1.5 range. Those are nice!!
Thanks for the report. Congratulations on a nice catch.

I hate to display my ignorance, but what is a barfish?
