I was at Lejeune 83-84 during that time we went to Okinawa-Japan, Po hang-Korea and Olongopo-Philippines. Before that did a year in Adak, Alaska on Barracks Duty. Small world.

My brother 10 years my sr. and a 28 yr. USMC vet. In 1966 when I told him that I had enlisted in the army real big tears rolled down his cheek. Never did understand that. To top that off he told our mother to pray for me and just write him. We still joke about that. It turned out at that time in the MC if you got some one to enlist you would get a 3 day pass. The tears were he about the 3 day pass not me enlisting in the army. That's my best war story!
