I tie all of the jigs for Bitter's bait and tackle. Mostly use chenille or dubbing for the bodies. Use marabou or silicone strands for the tail. Best colors for us have been pink/chart or black/charcoal jigs. I have tied some zip jigs with the Mylar but have never used them. Your jigs look like they would catch em......

mylar jigs work quite well in stained water........color varying with amount of stain
of water.....Also Ice jigs & moon jigs work exceptionally good at times, along
with mylars - All used spider rigging.
    Jig head wgt also helps.... 48 - 32 - 24 - 16 are prime weights
Curley tails and paddles work well on long-ling, along with varaition of blades and
    style of blades -

Where is the best place to buy the mylar tubing? Can you get it in bulk?

I am still looking for the mylar. Have not been able to find the mylar that these jig makers use.

I tie but haven't tied any in a few years. I like to use curly tails by Big bite or Kaylan's.

I know for certain Orlando Outfitters has the mylar tubing they are using. Actually had some in my hand looking at it last time I was there. Many colors too.
