Default OUCH!!! Ticked off pier owner......

Found a good honey hole with some good structure on it close to a guys pier. We came up on it today to fish it and he came stomping out on the pier. He came to the corner we were on and started to cast towards us , staring us down. I didn't want a confrontation so I eased off and went elsewhere to fish.catching fifteen this afternoon eased the pain BUT the more I think about it this fellow does not own the lake. When peeps fish my pier I go out to greet them and see how they are doing. What are y'all's thoughts about this Matter?

You are 100 % correct. His pier and everything around it is actually the property of Ala. Power if I am correct. This has been a problem in many places around the country. I think you did the best thing by doing exactly what you did. This person must be bitter inside and has no joy in his life. Glad you were able to catch some fish in spite of what happened.

It never ceases to amaze what types of personalities you might encounter day to day. You did the right thing not forcing a confrontation...
but I know you wished you had spoken your mind about his stupid and childish behavior.

we were fishing boat slips when this idiot started running up and down the pier yelling we were trespassing. We just kept on fishing moving slowly away while he kept on cussing and jumping around. I told the man finally hey I will pull to the bank and you can have all you want THEN another person walked up and told the guy to leave. Is it turned out the guy yelling and cussing did not have permission to be there. AllReds marina I believe what it's called?

Some folks just have no life. On the flip side of that, there are some of our nit-wit brothers that don't show a lot of respect for some pier owners.

Allreds is the worst..... I gotta find the screenshot on my phone but I saw a post somewhere that stated Bama law that ...I'm paraphrasing... Said that no one can impede a fisherman or hunter w signage or harassment as long as they're on public waters/land within the requirements of the law. The biggest probs ive heard about alreds is when dude in the boat gets out to confront the idiot.... That's when the idiot on the bank gets ya.

I grew up commercial inshore fishing and have seen my share of people who think they own the waters, the waters edge and even anything in front of their homes,,, We used to have some folks that would even threaten folks with guns if they'd fish their clams beds in front of their million dollar homes .... no one owns the waterline or even anything close to it,,, If anyone ever does that again, I suggest you get the law involved to straighten this guy out,,k If he bullies one person, He'll try and do it to everyone,,,

Bama S i admire your actions. Some folks might be inclined to at least pursue the confrontation and that could get ugly. Depending on how the fish are biting or my mood some folks might be me.
