    Default LARTO LAKE

    Good morning,
i used to like a song by Ray Stevens, "It's me again Margaret". Well actually I still like it . So I'll use part if his title and say "It's me again". Just wondering if anyone is doing any fishing at Larto and if so having any luck? We were there middle of last week working but not fixing((. Hope to go back next week some time and possibly "wet a hook". Thanks for your reply I advance. I always look forward to them and appreciate them. Have a great week.

    Hey HJ3,

If you'll call the boss and get me a few days off, I'd be more than happy to check out Larto for ya. Oh. I'll need some gas money too.

Haven't heard anything on Larto. Would like to hear some info on it myself, that is one of my favorite lakes to fish!

Dwayne, there is no info. Water still low, I haven't fished can't get the boat to the water and haven't seen but 1 or 2 boats in the lake out by the camp. LOL been riding the 4 wheeler around the bank picking up bass baits, jigs and stuff.

Thanks Bruce, that was kind of what I thought being there were no reports. Thought about having another gathering there this year, but it looks like we better wait until the water comes back up.

Hey guys, I would really appreciate some info if someone will be out there this weekend. I have a camp directly across from Uncle Buds Landing and last time I went pool stage was @ 35.5 and was just able to get to the end of my pier. If someone could drop me a message to advise me to the water level as if i could even possibly make it!!
    thanks!

Doe anyone know if you can launch at Uncle Bud's?

Pastor, I would think you can put in at Uncle Buds, Wiley's, or Larto Landing. The last time the water was this low all of those landing extended their ramps. Larto Landings number is 318-339-6786. Just remember those landing are really steep, 4 x 4 is a big help even when it's dry.

Bream Reaper 1, There is no problem running in the lake, you might have to walk up to your camp. The bank was very dry and with the hard bottom at Larto I wouldn't see any problems. I was riding my 4 wheeler out to the water and wasn't even leaving any tracks.

Dwayne, Put me down for the soup, chill, gumbo, or something on Saturday for lunch if there is a gathering this year and I am on days off.

The store is the only place safe to launch. As said 4x4 recommended. Fish are not schooled, catch one here and there, but not a bunch. Lake is at 35.83.
