That was so much fun and I do miss seeing all the kids. Is it the same as it was 20 years ago? I see this tonight:

I don't know.....I live out in the country and no trick or treaters on my road.
I have spent most my life fishing........the rest I wasted.

We started with a house in town and had ~300 tricker or treaters. I always had a blast with thm an enjoyed the smiling faces, moved out a bit and only had about 15 my dead end road with widely spaced houses is not conducive to trick or treaters. Last 10 years, most of the kids are long gone and we havent had a single trick or treater in that time. The few folks I've talked to say there arent enough houses here for it to be worthwhile and they take the kids amazingly enough to my old neighborhood,

Last night I drove around a bit just to see and realistically cold and rainy mess all night did not see many kids out. Stopped at a few friends along the way and they said there are not as many as there used to be even on a good night. The one guy used to give full sized snickers bars and would buy 30 cases is down to 10 cases and he usually has 3-5 left over, He said still lots of kids around but trick-or-treat nights have lost popularity. People are afraid of what may happen and are no longer willing to accept the risks. IMO it is sad that we have allowed our society to regress to the point where kids cannot have this last fun evening every fall.

Most of our churches here do a Trunk of Treat, not much going house to house any more.

Wow, didn't think about that. Society changing, what a shame. I remember when kids thought it was the best day behind Christmas.

We had over two hundred kids at our house in small town southern Illinois. Had a blast scaring the kids.

Haven't seen a trick or treater in 25 years out in my neck of the woods. Last kid we treated was next door neighbors grandson at age 4. We gave him a small can
of spinach plus a snicker. You should have seen his face.
