A Ture American Hero/10-28-14

Got to spend the day with one of our many True American Hero's. My buddy Ret USAF/Maj Frank Hellstern (right) who I have not served or fished with in 20 years. Frank has served in three major Wars and I can't tell you just how many combat missions he has been on. We had allot to talk about as the rain pelted us and we caught well over 100 crappie on this day and keeping a very nice double limit. It was a great day spending time with my Ole Friend and watching him use a Jig pole and catching fish. At the end of the day we shook hands made eye contact and we both knew without saying a word what we had gone through in the Military. It was only a look that two brothers in arms could understand. We parted knowing it would not be another 20 years before we planned our next mission agianst the crappie instead of another Human Being. Tight Lines

Great job Russ and Major Hellstern. Thank you both for your service to our country! It is because of people like you, we get to enjoy our freedoms like crappie fishing.
