On the water at 8:30, found them in 18-21fow. Caught most bout 14-18 ft deep. Pink was the color of the day, use Popsicle jigs tipped with minnow. And the out of box thing was a pink jig head with no body just a minnow. This caught any good fish and 4 nice green carp(large month). Water temp was 66.1 and good color. I was slow troll spider rigging. Caught prob 40-50 fish, kept 15 for grease. All fish were between 9"-13" and very fat. Don't know why I went pink, but I love that Popsicle and electric chicken jigs. I normally don't use jigs, but I'm warming up to them. That is prob is best advice I'd give, try one thing new each time your on the water. If you do the same stuff, you'll never learn new ways. I'm all for, if it ain't broke don't fix it, but new can be good and even better. And while I'm blabbing, I wish more people would give more post bout there fish trips and ways. Reading this site helped me so much when I started out. It's good for the people willing to read and learn. No body's gonna catch all the fish or perfect the art of crappie fishing over nite, but we should share what we know. And that's my two cents for the day.😊
Sounds like a good trip
I agree when you start out Trollin throw a little of everything at them so you can find out what they want. go different depths with different colors and vary the speed should find some consistency after a while.
Thanks for the report! What was your biggest?
Hey newly I got that new ruler to measure fish!
