    Default Down East

Hey guys. Don't know if any of you guys remember me, I haven't posted for quite some time. I lost my boat and canoes about a year and a half ago and haven't been crappie fishing since then. I used to fish the Black River in Bladen County, Sutton Lake, Greenfield Lake, and some of the creeks off of the Northeast Cape Fear and Cape Fear rivers. In my last post I gave up my GPS coordinates to some of my honey holes so others in the area could give 'em a shot. I still don't have a boat or canoe, but I'm DYING to get back after the slabs. The only Crappie.com member I've ever met in real life is Jack. Fished along side of him a couple times in Greenfield Lake (which has awesome crappie fishing, just can't eat 'em). So here's the deal; if anyone in the New Hanover/Brunswick/Bladen county areas would like some company I would LOVE to tag along. I've got crappie fever just as bad as anyone on here, so you can imagine how bad I miss it. Of course I'd buy the gas, bait, and drinks. I'm really easy to get along with, don't drink or curse, and know a few good spots. Check out my profile and pics and you'll see I'm legit! Sorry for being long winded, but I really, really miss the crappie fishing and I'm reaching out for some help. Thanks for reading and pm me if anyone's interested. Tight lines!

Also, check out my saltwater album!

Hey Friedfish, You ever fish waccumaw (sp) Lake? I have a friend that fishes with me in Black River near red star but we always bass fish. I rather crappie fish but don't know where to fish in Black River. You know anything about the Reds or Specs around South Port?

I've never really fished Southport. I do my salt fishing in the Shallotte River. My family owns a house on the river at Shell Point. So I know quite a few trout holes in the Shallotte river. As far as crappie in the Black River, check out my post where I gave away my GPS waypoints. Pretty much all of the little dead end creeks and oxbows in the Black River hold crappie. I've had the best luck long lining with minnows just going back and forth down the middle of the creeks in the Fall and Winter. In Spring (mid February - early March) they'll be shallow around the base of the Cypress trees in the back of the creeks. As far as Lake Waccamaw, I've caught crappie in the canals, but never really killed 'em. If you ever want some company holler at me!

I do know that the ADM docks in Southport is famous for holding trout.
