    Default Wichita Crappie

Caught 7 at sunset on a blue/white Crème triple tip and a pink jig. 9-1/2" to 11" FAT black crappie ---- Sedgwick County Park. Most were females with under developed eggs - they hit hard like a bass and a couple flipped clear out of the water. Caught 8 to 10 ft from the bank.

Nice feeshes! Always good to have a crappie spot that is easy access and not long to get there.

Caught all 7 in about 30 minutes right at sundown and missed a few - not much on length but fat and fightin like a LM bass.

I think the limit is 50 - I catch crappie in the NE pond and the South pond near 13th. I missed 2 this morning and tried again this evening with no luck using jigs but caught a couple 2 lb cats. I haven't caught any crappie in the trout pond but I'm sure its got them. I may try Geary Lake Thursday - I'm ready for some boat time!
