Just wanted to say thanks to everyone here and share a day's success information. I've been lurking and reading for a long time, as a trout and bass fisherman who wanted to get into crappie but could never hook one, reading everyone's reports and tips here really helped me accomplish something I set out to do months ago. I can limit out on the Little Red and White in two hours or less, but prior to today I'd never caught a crappie.
Well thanks to the information I read here for the past month, I had a very successful day on Brewer. South/West end creek, all the way back up into the timber along the channel - chartreuse tipped white road runner jigged along the main creek channel where it comes into the main lake was producing strikes all day long. In fact I guarantee I missed more than I got to the boat just simply not knowing what I was doing, but once I figured out the 'thump' and fun - it was on.
Thanks to all who post their stories and tips here to help out the newbies like me, and here's to more days like today.
