Thread: Nov 8th Bugg's Island Bash

The lake is muddy upstream of the bridges now. the crappie are startin to move back into the creeks. we caught 85 in Panhandle Sun. had a couple dozen nice eaters, up to a pound. Client caught a 15 1/4 inch citation yesterday off a main lake pile rite down from grassy, 15 ft deep over brush in 25fow on a World Famous FishDoc Bucktail!!

I hope we have some decent weather and a good turnout for the bash!

Where do us greenhorns find info on what a bash actually is and where people stay, what they do, and such?

It is just an informal get together and a chance to meet other people on the board. There is usually a big fish pool the costs $5.00 to get in and winner takes all. Sometimes this is modified a little like to the biggest 3 fish. Some people come the day before to do some pre-fishing and stay at one of the local motels or local camp grounds. It starts and ends at the old Bugg's Island Bait and Tackle shop (I believe its now called Circle K according to Fishdoc). You can launch and fish anywhere in the lake and use any poles or bait you want (except dynamite). Times normally run 8-3. Sometimes Slab (the owner of the site) provides some neat T-shirts for the events when he has enough lead time to get them made. Come early and share you fishing tales with others and hear their lies, I mean stories. Everyone is invited.

O.K so tomorrow gonna fish with the first place team in Bobcats Crappie Trails, hope they can give me some pointers as where too fish, will report back as how we done , getting BASH READY.!!!!!!!!!

Getting close to that time. I'm assuming the times will be 8 to 3. Is that correct? Any idea on who plans to show. Looks like me and Gene plan on being there. Weather looks cool and sunny and not too bad for wind.
