    Default Chicot 10/18/14

First of all, I went to Crooked Creek Lake Friday morning. Spider rigged and only caught 5. Went to the woods that afternoon to flag a trail to my deer stand. The mosquitos were SOOOOOOO bad, it was unbelievable. I was going to go squirrel hunting saturday morning, but decided to go to Chicot instead with son-in-law, whom I just got hooked on fishing.

Had a great morning. Kept 12 and caught and release that many or more. I think the boy's got possibilities. LOl
caught them on blue and chartreuse tube jigs, in 3-4 foot of water near cypress trees. No cork. I started out with a cork, but he caught 3 without the cork. So when I took off the cork, I started catching.

Not a bad day. I catch better without the cork, plus you get to feel the thump
