I had fun though. good to see everyone. ........thanks red. Parker said he enjoyed it, too.I got a heck of a crew! Two of them just couldn't stay out of the trolling motor and argued all day about who caught the most fish, heck you could count both of there fish on one hand, and the other one never talks. We had a good time. Fishing was very slow, too windy, couldn't stay over the brush, but we did manage 40+ crappie and a lot of spotted bass and some good size brim. All our crappie were at least 10 inch or bigger, we had 18 that were 11 to 13 inches that we kept. We'll eat fish tomorrow!

Knappy is thinking maybe CNBC will show me how to use this new rod to catch some crappie.

Hate I missed it! I hadn't kept up with the date and last I seen it was to be last Saturday. I'll have to catch the next one.

This was my first social as well. Both my boys were home for fall break, so it was great to be together and meet some other fellow crappie fishermen. Thank you for all who put the event on as well as all of the sponsors - BnM, Driftmaster, Tackletown for the donations. Maybe next time I can use the new rod to put a few keepers in the boat. TW
