Thread: Darbonne gathering---dates set---24,25&26 October

just wanted to take a minute to throw some info at yall, especially for the newbies. this gathering is NOT exclusive to crappie dot com members. it is a very open group. if you have family members that want to come eat with us Friday and/or Saturday night, that is not only ok, but encouraged. there is a fella that writes the lakedarbonnelife news that is doing an article about the gathering, so maybe we can have a few new folks show up and see how truly awesome this group is. so please invite anyone you would like to. everyone is welcome.

secondly, we will meet at cabin #9 for supper both nights (Friday and Saturday). when you come to the end of the road at the cabin loop it makes a "T". cabins # 1-9 are to the left and cabins #10-18 are to the right. cabin #9 is on the corner of that T on the left. we normally shoot for around 6 each evening but we don't get in any hurry. so if you are cooking something, try to get off the lake early enough to have it ready around 6.

anyone that wants to use the oven or plug in a crock pot can do so in our cabin during the day. we leave the key under the front mat. so if you need in, just come on in. I will have a tent set up outside in case of sprinkles and if you have anything you want to leave on the porch you can. it is a good idea to bring some fold out chairs if ya have them. I will have a big set of halogen lights but if you have a lantern or a light source you are welcome to bring it. just look for the banner when ya drive up. it's quickly approaching. anyone else excited like me??

The boat is ready; motor oil and gear case oil changed after 10 hour break-in, rod holders installed, finally got my registration in and numbers placed on sides, and hopefully I have worked all of the lies out of those depthfinders. I am pumped and ready to try to my hand at D'Arbonne again. Can hardly wait!

10 DAYS!!!!!!!!!!!!

So I've got a question....for those coming to the park, how many guys have wives coming that aren't going to be fishing during the day? If my wife ends up coming, she was wondering if there'd be anyone else around park that might be interested in visiting or maybe even a walk on one of the trails. Just let me know.
