Launched at Attakapas landing on the south end of Lake Verrett around 7 AM....started in 4 Mile Bayou first.....caught a goo(spinnerbait), small bass(black & char jig) and a 4.5# catfish(shiner) then went to Bayou Sherman & Cheramie.......caught 6 bass total, kept 3 for Didi......gave the catfish away to 2 guys at the landing fishing from the bank.....I was going to give it to the oldest one so I asked.....the guy said, I am 3 minutes older than the other...we are 73 year old twins.....you should have seen their eyes when I pulled out that big cat...
the water in the bayous was flowing out real fast....can you believe I could not catch even one sac out of that beautiful treetop.....that's where I caught the cat.....water moving fast there.....

"So many places to fish so little time to fish them!"
Nice report Bruce, excellent looking tree top in that water.

Did you find any clear water? Did you fish in the canals any?
Very nice report Bruce, but where are the sacs?

"G" Gone but not forgotten!!
Didn't go far into any canals....mostly stayed on the points of main canals.....went into one short dead end off 4 Mile bayou and it was OK....you can tell from the pic of the big tree laydown that 4 Mile is stained but not muddy....I did not go into the Union canals but went the entire length of Bayou Cheramie and it did not look bad.....Verrett was muddy around the launch....Sherman looked good.....had good flow....I only went up to the island about halfway to the lake.....fish were in the shade....
