Default Sorry, I missed seeing you all at the shin dig.

Sorry, I missed the shin dig and meeting everyone there. I was looking forward to it until I realized it was the same weekend as my daughters wedding. I am glad everyone had a great time, from reading the posts, and several caught fish. I do plan to be there at the next one. So far, the best picture was the one with big guy and wiskers.

Before the wedding, my daughter took me aside and shared with me how important all the fishing, hunting, boating, and hiking trips we did together meant to her. By the time she finished speaking, this ol bear was crying like a babe. Just wanted to share with everyone you don't need a lot to make impressions on your family. All you need is love, strength, character, and focus on God. Many a time we just raided the frig into a lunch pail and scrapped enough for fuel to head out. I wouldn't trade any of those memories for all the riches in the world. Well, hope to see each of you on the water.

Thx wiskers. holler if you want to hit before you go back on the boat. The next get together, I will bake cobblers in my dutch ovens. Apple and blackberry have been the usual requests from church.

Awesome. Just plain awesome. Really shows how you brought her up. Takes a fine person to be able to make sure that dad knows he done her right so far in life. You are blessed!
If people concentrated on the really important things in life, there'd be a shortage of fishing poles.

Thx dkb23. Her looks and smarts came from her mom. Her hard head and quick wit came from me.
