    Default Bayou Banoit Friday

Got out there late, came home early, usually not my way of fishing. Started fishing around 8:30 and took awhile to get that first bite. Wish I could say it was great, but this spring and summer have not produced the numbers we got used to last year. Lately the number has been 12-15 per morning trip. This trip fell right in those numbers. Water is a little stained but not bad. All of these fish were caught about 5 1/2 foot down, in 10 to 17 foot of water on 1/32 solid gray hair jigs under a cork. Making a second pass where the fish usually are in the morning paid off, around 11:15 I started catching 2 or 3 per "stump" where there had been none earlier. Go figure….anyhow was also checked by the LDWF, showed them lifetime fishing license but wanted to see some kind of I.D. too. That was a first. Very few people fishing. Here are pictures of the few I kept….good fishingName: IMG_5909.jpg
