I had my first experience with injections a couple of days ago. My Doc still insist I need therapy. But, as long as he will continue the shots, I think I can be happy. I wished he had done that a month ago. I was dang near crippled. DP

Been getting injections in both knees every 3 months for a while. Dr says I'll be having both knees replaced much sooner than later, probably starting next spring after snow goose season. 27 years of steel steps and gratings 5 or more stories high, concrete, and carrying too much weight has gotten both knees shot, left one is especially bad. My Dr won't do both knees at the same time.
I will say this; the injections I get provide INSTANT relief for as much as 2 months.

how about rooster comb??? Don't laugh.
Crappie bite twice a day. 15 minutes before I get there and 10 minutes after I leave.

My Dr said they don't use it anymore Gomer.

They were originally derived from rooster comb, but Euflexxa is not avian-derived hyaluronan.
"EUFLEXXA™ is the first and only hyaluronic acid (HA) approved in the U.S. for the treatment of the pain of knee osteoarthritis that is not derived from an avian source** (chicken or rooster combs). This eliminates the risk of related reactions."
I guess my PA lied to me.

Had both of mine replaced over the last few years. Not a pleasant experience, but the end product sure beats the old ones. Got tired of having them drained and shot-up---wish now I hadn't waited as long as I did.
I am putting it off. I have had too much down time for parts removal and replacement these past few years. Once it starts, it never ends. I am doomed.
