    Default JACK MILLER'S 10-11-14

I have been working my tail off and hadn't had a chance to take the boat out for a good while. Had a hunch I might get on a few fish out of jack millers. Took a friend of mine a little down on his luck and the good Lord blessed us with a very enjoyable trip. Some on shiners, most on jigs (red/chartreuse). They were in 6-8 ft of water. Big boy was 14"

You did well my friend. I like you have been too busy to fish but that will change shortly.

PS, I wasn't sure I had a clue how catch those sneaky fish anymore, but we got lucky and figured em out early.

Gene, no doubt a trip like that will have me tinkering on the edge of going back after them every spare minute I get...By the way, I was out there with my brand new 12' jigging rod trying to turn over a new leaf and learn how to tight line them, but they were wanting it under a slip cork for some reason. I did catch a handful on the tight line rig though, I guess it was a good start...

Jig poles work good with slip corks especially around stumps and tops.
