Yesterday evening my son and I decided to try Ivan Lake before the cold front arrived. Naturally I was after crappie, but Chris was casting for sewer trout. After watching me pull in four crappie in rapid succession he picked up a jig pole for the first time in his life. With the gray ghost jig and red crappie nibbles Chris was soon on the fish. In about a half hour we had nineteen, and the distant lightning was telling us it was time to go.
With his newly acquired taste of jig fishing Chris said he felt like a kid who was tasting candy for the first time. He's hooked!![]()
