I'll be in Mississippi next week around the 15th. Anywhere around Grenada/Sardis to get any Muscadine's? We don't have any here and was wanting to try them. If I like them I might star a few plants when I get back.

Few on the road going into Scuna/Turkey landing, think I will run over there tomorrow and see if any are left. The wildlife love them as much as we do.

They are about gone, sept 1st is usually when they are ready. It was a good year I picked enough in one trip to make 8 gallons of wine.

I've got 3 vines on a trellis and after we'd picked about a gallon one day, they all fell off due to our dry spell.

I have two vines that I have picked 23 gallons off of. They are still loaded but almost all are over-ripe. They could still be used for wine or jelly but would be hard to haul. They are soft and I think they would mash under their own weight. Mine started coming off the last week of August. If you decide to put in vines, try to plant them a good ways from the house. If you can't get the majority of them picked, you will have a gnat problem.
Tell'em I'll be there.
We left camp and headed to Water Valley on the way home. There is a new store on Main in town that had a couple of baskets of dines on the counter. I didn't check the price.
