They are running everywhere around here. It is rumored that a hot spot for squirrels is Pierce Creek landing. Don't know if that area is legal to hunt, but I have heard a tale or 2 about the quantities there.
You need to take your squirrels inside and give them a bath from time to time. They'll taste better when it's time to eat them.

I take those older tough squirrels and fry em real fast and brown on the outside but not done inside. Put them in a Dutch oven dry at 225 for about two hours. I don't care how tough he was, he will fall off the bone. It's good fried squirrel.
