i have a lake behind my house. it has huge bass, bluegill, shellcrackers, small catfish. But there are spotted tilapia in it to. alot of big ones. i know they are aggressive but do you think crappie would be in it too? the lake is not connect to any surrounding water. theres no snakeheads in it unlike alot of the water thats nearby. i threw a crappie in there last year. a male. just to see if it could survive in the water and as far as i could tell. Rumor has it that the lake is holdin and im sure about to find out!

The finest gift you can give to any fisherman is to put a good fish back, and who knows if the fish that you caught isn't someone else's gift to you?"Jiganomics LIKED above post
If it has all those other fish it should have specks as well. How big is it? Let us know with pics.

I would sure give it a try. Some of those retention ponds are great fishing. Why at night?

because the lake has really clear water. you could see str8 to the bottom at 12 noon. all i catch in the day time are bass, Spotted tilapia and sometimes big shellcrackers. this is one right here![]()
If that clear you might try very low light or fish from dusk till dark. Really clear water needs not much light.
