Day off yesterday and,,,
Just as the weather man predicted, it was chilly, breezy, and partly sunny. When I woke up, my wife was already at work, day 11 in a row for her and still 3 days to go. She has been fighting off a cold for the last couple days and I know this long 14 day work stretch is starting to wear her down, so as I began loading up for a day of fishing, I just set my stuff down, looked around me, and thought of a few more important things than fishing that could be done to make her day a little better. I put away my fishing gear and jumped right into the chores. Mowed the lawn, did the dishes, washed, folded, and put away all the laundry, moved a big swing set/fort slide from the side of the house, swept all the hardwood floors, and just sort of tidied up everything. When I was all done if felt almost as good as a day on the water. Almost!
It is not about the equipment you have to use,
It is about how you use the equipment you have. :D
