So the rain moved thru last night. I slept right threw it.No work no alarm clock
Checked radar about 8am rains moved off to the east.
Boats hooked up and battery charged. Head south down 16. First stop Landry's for some no alcohol go juice. And one of their world famous biscuits.
Down the hwy. a bit to Port Vincent and the beautiful Amite river. Water looks good and not much wind.
Launched next to Freds and run up river to a favorite lay down and start with a 3tail on my trusty zebco. Fish on. Picked up 6 there. then the dreaded gar roll. Bite shut down.
Ran down river to some more spots and the fish were there. Got to remember these are river fish and they tind to run on the small size.
Pulled out around 2 with about two dozen on ice.
No shiners, miners, spiders, or cranks were kilt or harmed in the catching of these fish.
Most caught swimming a chartreuse 3 tail and the rest on a 1/16 black n chartreuse tube tight line.
Sorry PPG no goo were to be found.I'll try tomorrow.
I
