I wish I saw more of them out there. The only people that I know they bother, are the ones that they should be bothering.

I hunt and fish with several friends who happen to be game wardens, some USF&W. We call a couple of them "possum cops" just because they can take it as well as give it.
It is pucker time when I call the shot on a few hundred snow geese while having 2-3 Federal game wardens hunting with me. I've done it lots of times and luckily have never had any problems. I will say that to a man, they would write me or even themselves a ticket if there was a willful violation in their presence. To me that's the way it should be. That's why I am so careful to make sure there are no non-target species in a flock of snows before I call the shot.
My Dad and I got checked by the same 2 KY F&W COs on Lake Barkley a few years back 3 days in a row. The 3rd day they finally asked us hadn't we been checked the last couple of days? I guess as many folks as they come in contact with, they tend to all blend together. I never want to be the one who sticks out in a crowd when it comes to game laws.

I have never got a ticket but some of them ack like they want to give you a ticket. I have been checked 3 times this year 2× no problem but one checked my fish over and over again and I had my scale out all fish were 10+
Few years back had one flag me down below Pickwick day. He asked me to take him out to a boat to write them a ticket. Asked if he has a PDF? No don't have one so I ask him if its ok to have him in my boat without one? He was going to just forget it. But Laughed and told him there was 2 extra ones in the boat.
He give them one ticket where they could have gotten 5. As not a one of them had there PDF's on right there at the dam. But he made them put there,s on. I thought that was nice to only ticket one.
Wish we had more Of them out there. We have one in our county. And he is worked to death. Way to many tickets to write and only on warden. TWRA does a good job in my book.
some nice ones around here, but most are power junkies with attitudes and mirror sunglasses. nice to hear of the human ones though. lol
did you ever un into the river patrol?
Good day for you. I have all the respect in the world for the wardens/COs. Never had a bad experience with any of them, and they have been more than willing to handle a few issues that I have gone to them with. These days, on my local lakes, they rarely even ask for my license any more as they have all seen me and checked me at least a couple times over the years and I think they all know that I am not out there doing anything illegal.
It is not about the equipment you have to use,
It is about how you use the equipment you have. :D
A friend and I were checked about 3 months ago on Kentucky Lake at about 9:00 pm. A Tennesee CO stopped us in a cove right on the state line.
I was surprised to see him at that time of night. Just goes to show they can be there when you least expect to see them. He was a really nice guy. I think most of them are decent guys if you treat them right.
