I use hi-vis gold stren, 12# test and I have never had issues catching fish, deep or shallow. i'm interested in hearing this too. might have to re-string a reel or two and beta test it. LOL

I also have One Pole with Stren High Visability yellow. I get a few bites on it, But He bought a big roll of the stuff cheap, and you can see the line glowing way down in the water. I use Berkley Vanish, Florocarbon -- Clear -- 12# It is the best line I ever Bought ... It has a smaller Line Diameter than others. For Spiderwire the same size line is only 10#, and Spiderwire line is stiff and harder ot tie. Stren is also Larger Diameter, and even stiffer than Vishous Florocarbon or Spiderwire Line... For the Berkley Triliene I have some 6# test that is almost the same Diameter.. All my Poles are 11 foot and it is hard to see, but I can. I will not use the Red Fireline--- Cant see to tie Knots.. I Catch 15 to 20 Fish to Bros single Bite that he Probally misses sleeping at the switch!!!
