No shame there partner...grandsons would've done good seein that...they could've learned a lesson in humility and generosity at the same time. Maybe karma will fill your cooler next time out.

Launched before daylight and fished for three hours casting jigs, crankbaits, and roadrunners. Only caught one crappie and one bass. Back at landing at 9:45 a lady who had been fishing from the bank was just leaving with twelve nice crappie. I gave her my two fish, tucked my tail between my legs, and came home. Just glad my grandsons weren't there to see it.

No shame there RMGeorge. The shame would have been wishing you would have gone while staying home or wishing you would have gone instead of staying home watching a Saints game (in my case!)

Don't let that slow you down RM George. I caught a mess first trip and went back twice and wiffed. She may had been using shinners.
Any day on the lake is a good day! Keep plugging along and it will turn around.
Thanks for posting

No chance of being discouraged. I was really more amused than anything else. Will try again tomorrow. The lady was using shiners and there is a fairly steep drop-off right in front of her fishing spot. Water there goes to 13 feet.
Think I'll go buy a few shiners.

Was she fishing off the pier next to the launch? Try around those short willow tops along the dam.
