Default Latest reclamation project: refurbishing an old rotary vise

I recently got back into tying hair jigs and Float n Fly jigs. I had a pair of old vices, one a Cabela's travel vice and the other an un named rotary vice. The rotary vice fit my needs better than the travel vice butt was relatively FUBAR. I decided to sand and buff it and drop some nifty textured paint on the base to make it all spiff. Paint was Rustoleum textured paint in "aged iron"...I also did my 7yr old BBQ with it this spring and it looks brand new.

    Before: it was relatively gnarly

After: It cleaned up rather well

It wasn't as glamorous as the base. Just a bit of polishing the oxidation but no painting.

Looks good. A little elbow grease and a touch of paint and you have something to be proud of
