Last week fished Henderson twice, 13 fish day one and 8 the next, not many but really quality fish. Motor problems sent me home early on day two, the fish were still biting. That was last week, since then the water has risen, then started dropping again, just conditions I like to fish. So Monday morning, with an approaching front, I decided to try them one more time. Moving water north of I 10 is murky, south of I 10 is better but fish were not biting. Water in Pelba looked good and I did catch two decent fish off a laydown in 4 f.o.w., it's just not worth the effort. I'll have to find some other diversion (mowing the grass or even golf, yuk!) until Henderson, the Basin or Vermilion Bay gets right again. Good Luck Ya'll B.C.

Nice report, thanks.

Henderson is not the only place to fish. Maybe you need to burn some gas.![]()
B.C., where did you launch? Going make an evening trip on Thursday. From other reports looks like Basin Landing is where to go. Crossed over on Sunday and water was muddy, hopefully it cleans up some by Thursday.
The difference between the water level at the pelba gauge and the gauge by the control structure below the pontoon bridge is 5 inches. The water is flowing fast! Coupled with the fact that the control structure at Courtableau is open makes for muddy water from N. bigeaux to the pontoon bridge. Not good for fishing. I avoid henderson when the difference between the two gauges is greater than 3 inches.
Interesting Cajun, thanks.

Hookem3, I launched at the Basin Landing, no problem. There are still a few launching at the public launch, I'm not that brave...
I can recall and certain poster on here saying, "when water drops, it will be like fishing out of a barrel". Yeah right, them fish move dude!
