Fry em up. I have kept them over a year in water and couldn't tell the difference. May have one or two on edge that get a little freezer burn but that's it.

I found few bags of crappie fillets frozen in water from March hiding in my freezer, I'm just curious how long do they stay good frozen like this. Should I toss the bag or fry them up?

If frozen in water the right way. I have even had them up to 2 years and they still tasted fine.
I'm sick of following my dreams. I'm just going to ask them where they're goin' and hook up with them later.
Only way I put em up for this very reason, supper time!!!

Nothing wrong with frozen fish. I have found some in my freezer before that was 3 years old. Just thaw them out slowly in the frig so they don't turn to mush.
Lets go soak a line. Pat

I had some the other day that I caught in 2009. They bag was in the very back of the freezer and I had to give them a try to see if they were still good and they were. When I freeze them in water there is no air in the bag to create freezer burn and I let them thaw out slowly. Worked like a charm.
I'm glad I froze mine in water then! I do have some trout in my freezer from Jan-Feb that I was told is definitely no good! Any truth to that?

Were they froze in water, if so I don't see any reason for them not to be good?
