Default Monroe Specks In The Rain

Launched from Monroe park in the rain @ 6:30 this morning, no one at the launch. Started trolling, in the rain, had the whole lake to myself no other boats all day. Caught 41 kept 8. All on dark colors, running 1.2 to 1.4 mph Sorry no pics camera don't like the rain. Saw a big fire along 17/92 and the lake tried to get a pic but the camera wouldn't work.

Did you keep 8 because they were the only ones over 10 inches or did you keep 8 because you only wanted 8... :-)

Only wanted 8 but most of the fish were on the small side and had to do a lot of culling to get 8 eaters.

I don't mind fishing in the rain Anchor Man, it's the wind and rain that I don't like. It was a good day all in all first cool day in a long time.

I sure did! Did get caught up on a bunch a chores and got my stuff out and organized, took inventory of supplies and set up ready to start making some jigs again. Gonna make a trip to the fly shop in Winter Park on my lunch one day this week to get some colors that were requested.

The finest gift you can give to any fisherman is to put a good fish back, and who knows if the fish that you caught isn't someone else's gift to you?"
