Nice buddy!
Looks good - what weight fly rod you going to use them on??
Don't have a fly rod yet, but both wife and I want one. We use a walmart special rod and reel set up at the moment and neither one are happy with it. I also have a couple of zebco reels that I use that I've had for 30+ years.
I use a Cortland Fairplay and a Renegade (off brand 5 weight's) that I got out of the clearance bin at WalMart years ago and they fish just fine. One fly reel is a Pluegger Medalist 1494 1/2 and I believe a Japanese copy of it. I use 6 lb. Trilene XL for a tippet. So nothing fancy and they work real well for me.
That's a beauty.
Had a fly fishing rig when I was a kid, very long ago! SO when I started this tying I knew that at some point I wanted to tie flies as well (kind of a mistake as then real money comes out on materials as there are so many more for that) and ended up a few years back buying that Walmart $20 special rod and reel. I didn't care for it as it was to light weight for me. So I just bought a Cabela's rig and probably was like $160 on sale and really like it. Then I picked up a fly rod at Bass Pro in Bossier on sale for $79 and have not got the reel and line yet, but will. You don't need a $1000 rod like the Bamboo ones or even a $500 Sage either.
