    Default Eagle Claw sickle hooks

I just place a hook order and the people told me that Eagle Claw has their own sickle hooks now. Has any one had a chance to use them?

Have not seen them yet, but first thing I would want to see is how sharp they are. If I find what I usually do on their hooks, I wouldn't want them, but if they are as sharp as the Matuzo and about the same price then I would have interest.

When I was getting contact info for getting my #4 Black Chrome Sickles for Matzuo, Kris at Capt Hooks told me that they had talked to Eagle Claw about making a sickle hook, but I haven't heard anything since.

I know they came out with the Black Chrome aberdeen hook and several people have tried it, but still nothing on the sickle hook that I've heard yet.

Where did you order them?? Capt hooks didn't show anything except the Black Plantinum hooks, nothing for sickles.

I ordered them from Short'y hooks www.shortyshooks.com. A rep from Eagle Claw turned me on to them.

Guys I waited on them and got a few in. My first thoughts were they have a little to much to the sickle, more like a circle hook and think it will cause some missed fish. As for sharpness to the Matzuo they aren't even close as they have a forged point on them instead of the needle points like the L570BP has, so the sharpness is a minus for me as well. Price wise they are close to the sickle but always remember you get what you pay for. After seeing them and having them in hand I wont choose them over the Matzuo even if they have poor QC problems.

Just saw them on Capt Hooks and they list all sizes. While they look ok the bottom does look different from the sickles. Tim glad I read your report on them
