Hello we have decided to head to Shelbyville this weekend for the first time. Going to mainly look around the lake but want to get the lines wet a couple of times!!! We are bringing our boat. I was hoping that some of you can give us idea on where to stay and which marina to use along with suggestions on area to wet the line for crappie. Again this is are first trip to your lake, we normally fish rend or clearwater in mo but are looking for a new lake we are from alton il (st louis). We thank you in advance for your time.

Another nice place to stay is Gregory motel, its at the entrance of Lithia Campground and the ramp is pretty good too. That area is where I have been fishing and doing good. I can meet you out there maybe Saturday afternoon if my sons girlfriend is not having my grand baby.
Coon creek is a nice area but the only bad thing about it is the walk from the ramp to the parking lot.

There are a couple of us at the campground by the lodge that will be around this weekend if you stay there. I will even have the smoker going and can put on some extra
No invite for me buddy. Lets see if I show you any more of my fishing holes.
Lets go soak a line. Pat
North end is turning over so I would stay on the south end. That's where I will be this weekend! Yippie!
Some people can do know right...keep trying!!
Whitetail crossing is a great place to stay. Bait can be found in Finley. Closest ramps would be Lone Point or Coon Creek. Not sure about fishing, haven't been on the lake for some time.
You gonna have smoked buffalo? That's the time to go Bowhunter!!! Yum yum!
